This class is for pups ages 12 weeks - 6 months of age on the first day of class. Puppy Kindergarten
will focus on encouraging a well mannered, socialized, confident and happy dog. By committing now
to these very important parts of your puppies core development, you are setting yourself and your
puppy for a great life together.
By participating in a Puppy Kindergarten Class, you and your puppy will learn & practice canine
behavior skills as well as discuss the following:
At the end of this 6 week course you and your puppy will have learned how to better communicate
with each other and what is ideally expected of your puppy. Additionally, as a team you will be
prepared to enroll in our Basic Obedience / Manners class to advance the skills you've acquired and
learn even more!

- Normal Puppy Challenges (chewing, biting/mouthing, "zoomies", house training, jumping,
barking, etc.) - Proper Play with your Puppy
- Suggested "Tools" (leashes, collars, brushes, dental care, etc.)
- Proper Canine & Human Socialization
- Proper Diet & Exercise
- Ways to entertain your dog (even when you're not around)
At the end of this 6 week course you and your puppy will have learned how to better communicate

THE FIRST CLASS IS AN ORIENTATION ONLY - PLEASE LEAVE PUPPIES AT HOME
Please bring the following to Puppy Kindergarten Orientation:
1) Proof of your puppies up to date vaccinations - all puppies need a bordatella vaccination to attend
this class in addition to those required locally.
2) Any questions you have regarding your puppies behavior. This is great class time to discuss any
challenges you are having at home with your pup. We promise you're not the only one out there
wondering why your puppy can't get the fact that outdoors is where THEIR bathroom is!
3) Anyone from your household who is committed to practicing/ training with your puppy. In
general children under 12 years of age would benefit more as a observers while their puppies are
learning in class. However, we like to encourage people of all ages to work effectively with their K9
housemates so if you'd like to discuss additional at home training specifically designed for children
please let us know.
4) Your laughter and ability to laugh at yourself - this REALLY is fun, we promise!

In this Six Week Basic Obedience / Manners class you and your K9 companion will learn, discuss,
experience and master the following:
This class is for dogs age 6 months and older. If your dog is younger, please register for the Puppy
Kindergarten class.
Please Bring the Following to the First Basic Obedience Class:
1) Your Dog, with a buckle or snap collar on a 6 foot leather or nylon leash.
2) Treats for your Dog - Treats should be very small and extra special!
3) Your Dog's Favorite Toy - consider bringing a favorite toy to class if your dog is not very food
motivated or simply to use as an additional tool for positive motivation. A frisbee, ball, squeeky toy,
etc. may work well.
4) Water for dog (and yourself as well, training is RUFF work sometimes).
5) Plastic bags to clean up after your dog - we're each responsible for picking up our pup's poop in
class AND anywhere publicly we take our K9 companions.
6) Proof of up to date vaccinations - all dogs need a bordatella vaccination in addition to those
required locally.
7) Your Sense of Humor!
